documents of legal title and won't re-issue them. If

you happen to acquire artwork through a "mysterious"

source not in the authorized dealer base, a manufacturer will

tell you to get the certificate of authenticity from whomever

you bought the piece. Trust me when I tell you, most of

these art brokers are in no position to approach publishers

or their "private source" to ask for your certificate either.

You would be left holding the bag. Again my advice is

not to buy, unless the artwork is really something you

cannot live without and absolutely must have.
