more if the initial release price goes up several times, adding
tremendous value to your sculpture.
Be advised, there are countries, including the US,
where many galleries are selling sculptures by budding
artists at values not supported by their reputation. If the
artist is only beginning, even a very large life-size bronze
sculpture should only command reasonable prices. When
you buy easily affordable art if it gains no value, the worst-
case scenario is you have a lifetime of enjoyment from the
piece. If the artwork becomes something of an investment
then you really want to know...
· How many galleries is this artist in?
· Are they at the beginning, middle or end of their
career?
· Has the artist sold at these values in the past?
· Is the gallery you're working with charging a price you
consider fair?
