"Le Bateau" was painted by the French Master

Henri Matisse and had been placed on loan for exhibition

with the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Forty-seven

days into the exhibit Henri's son noticed the painting

had been hung upside down by the museum's staff.

The museum was terribly red-faced over the incident and

corrected the mistake immediately.
